the traditional clothing of Guatemala are known as a Traje or Huipil. The traje have been worn by the indigenous people for thousands of years after the colonization of the Maya people. They can been seen with the traditional look of colonial Spanish attire with but some are more colorful with embroidery on them. They're made using ancient traditional weaving looms and take months to complete. Each traje is made unique with the colors and designs having symbolic meanings to the Maya communities.
