➤ Today, the church commemorates Samuel, who was dedicated by his mother Hannah to serve in the temple at Shiloh. Trained by Eli the priest, Samuel was called by God to be a prophet at a time when there had been no prophets since Moses. Samuel served as the last judge and a prophet to Israel, guiding them back to God and anointing kings Saul and David by God's command. His actions set the lineage for Jesus, the king of kings, reminding us that God’s promises come to fruition in His own time. ✝️
