Punjab (/ p ʌ n ˈ dʒ ɑː b,-ˈ dʒ æ b, ˈ p ʊ n-/; Punjabi: [pə̞ɲˈdʒäːb] ⓘ; also romanised as Panjāb or Panj-Āb), [b] also known as the Land of the Five Rivers, is a geopolitical, cultural, and historical region in South Asia.
