Aug 27, 2017 · Context probably matters here, too. Off the top of my head, so, loose with the facts, but, Lion King was a throwaway movie that had "amateurs" working on it. And since CGI took forever to render back then, it would take days to see what your idea looked like. Rinse and repeat dozens of attempts to get the scene right, and it probably took a while.

The Pride Rock fight was so intense when i finally got there. This is still high on my list of best SNES games. The animation on the stampede level is spectacular, even by today's standards. Disney did it again in Mickey Mania with a very similar stage featuring a Moose chase but Lion King is an overall better game to my taste.

Except Lion King 2 doesn't work as a Romeo and Juliet story because in Romeo and Juliet the audience doesn't know why the Montegues and Capulets are warring families, while The Lion King shows the audience exactly what happened in the past which makes the "Scar was so great, we loved starving to death" lionesses utterly nonsensical and stupid.

Jul 18, 2019 · Feels like a narrated documentary. I know that Jon Favreau wanted a photorealistic setup, but it fell short in conveying the emotions Lion King is known for. You can't have a scene where Mufasa dies, little Simba screaming, and a rendered lion that stares blank into nothing. 3.

Feb 14, 2023 · A stampede is an innocent accident. Noone to blame, nothing to do about it. Mauled by a lion means there will be a lot of complicated questions. And remember that scar needs a degree of legitimacy to be able to take the throne. Just jackals is far from enough to gain the throne. It is taken by right of law or not at all.

Games were just harder back then. "Beating the game" was a huge accomplishment at one time and not just a given for anybody who bought it. I remember my Sega library being Lion King, Aladdin, Sonic 1 and Spinball, Golden Axe, Battletoads, and Ecco. They're all hard as fuck, Battletoads and Ecco border on impossible.
