For example, one of my former flock roosters, Molasses, would stand back and watch any people near his flock. He actually kept a closer eye on my toddler than he did adults. However, he never offered any aggression to people, even when he was handled.

The thing is a lot of roosters are not great roosters, and a lot of them are terrible. While the wing dancing for you is cute, it is not a good sign. And neither is eating out of your hands.

I've seen them double team hens before. But generally the hens just run away from them when they are bothering them, since they have a lot of places to run to or hang out to avoid them.
