1992 ES-135 - New Nut? - Gibson USA - Gibson Brands Forums
Dec 20, 2024 · My 1992 Gibson ES-135 seems to be degrading at the nut. The treble-side plain strings are making sitar noises when open—especially the first string. I noticed a chip between 2nd and 3rd strings and a white flake that seemed to come from the 1st string slot. The plain strings do look seated low in...
Tim Shaw pickups - educate me - Gibson Brands Forums
Apr 24, 2024 · For me they have a nice bitey tone with tons of clarity whether you are distorted or clean. Of all the Gibson pups I have tried, for me the Tim Shaw era pups are by far the best for what I do. See the below video when I first received my Pro Tools Recording program and I recorded a little guitar lick using my VOX AC50 and my 1980 Les Paul Custom.

Nov 29, 2024 · I also have a 2020 Gibson "60's original" J-50 which looks like my real 65 J-50, but sounds like a new Gibson. They have some other kind of replica vintage tuners that also look very nice and I think they operate a little better than the WD Kluson replicas.
Small Amp for Blues/Vintage Tone - Gibson Brands Forums
Dec 24, 2024 · Eight inch speaker limits you to things like Tweed Champs / 5F2A Tweed Princetons and their derivatives/clones. If you can go up to 10", the options open up quite a bit, including the aforementioned blackface/silverface Princetons (and Champs), the new (and the vintage) Gibson tube amps, etc .

Oct 30, 2024 · The question in the title. Didn't have time to buy Wanderlust Metallic Green and now even from china cheapest green model costs around 800$. Calibrated T-Type Pickups - Gibson ES - Gibson Brands Forums
Mar 14, 2023 · Just to add some additional perspective…I have had matched set of Gibson 1968 patent sticker pups since 1978,. In 2003 I purchased a 1966 Gibson Byrdland with PAF’s, and they sounded nothing alike. I also have a set of 2013 Customer Bucker ‘S’ pickups (more PAF than the real thing) and they too don’t sound like my patent stickers.
R61/T61 pickups - Gibson USA - Gibson Brands Forums
May 11, 2018 · I am really liking the 61 series pickups in my 2018 SG. They sound fantastic clean or dirty. I've read somewhere they are basically Burstbuckers, but I have no idea. No need for a pickup swap at all. Anyone else like them as much as I do?
