FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A State of Emergency has been declared in Marion County following heavy rains and flash flooding. A press release from Governor Patrick Morrisey’s office states that the decision to make the declaration was due to a “continuing threat to the health, safety, welfare, and property.”
A second township in Washington County issued a disaster declaration Monday after heavy rainfall resulted in flash flooding over the weekend.
