NFL football is officially back starting tonight! The preseason will start a tad earlier this year, as the 2025 Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio will take place on July 31. The Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions will compete in this year’s game.

Football is back. While NFL training camps are just gaining steam as many teams transition to fully padded action, two of the league's 32 clubs will hit the field for an actual game this week: It's the Detroit Lions versus the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, the official opener for this year's preseason slate.
