The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams 30-25 in Sunday’s Week 18 regular-season finale. Unfortunately, the Rams had already clinched the NFC West division. Head coach Sean McVay fielded a team largely consisting of backups as the Seahawks eyed their first 10-win season since 2020.

After a low-scoring win over the Cardinals, the Rams could win the NFC West based on how the remainder of Week 17 goes.

It is the Rams’ first division title since 2021, the year they won Super Bowl LVI. It is the franchise’s fourth NFC West title during McVay’s tenure, which began in 2017. And out of 390 teams in the Super Bowl era to start their seasons 1-4 or worse through five games, the Rams are the 14th to go on to win their division, per Pro Football Network.

The Los Angeles Rams have won the NFC West crown, and the final standings have remained largely unchanged from Week 17 to Week 18. That, of course, means the San Francisco 49ers are in last place. They will have the 11th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a more extended offseason than they’ve had the last couple of years.
