NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers and two international crew members splashed down in the Pacific off California Saturday in the first such landing for NASA in 50 years.

SpaceX's Crew-10 astronauts headed home to Earth on Friday (Aug. 8). The Crew-10 quartet's Crew Dragon capsule, named Endurance, undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) Friday at 6:15 p.m. EDT (2215 GMT). If all goes to plan, Endurance will splash down in the Pacific Ocean late on Saturday morning (Aug. 9).

Samples can be stored at -80 degrees Celsius to keep critical samples from experiments at their proper temperature while being transported from Endurance to scientists on shore. Crew-10’s astronauts have conducted numerous experiments on orbit for the last few months.
