House Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee voted their tax legislation out of committee on Wednesday, moving one step closer to enacting a sweeping fiscal package that would enact much of President Donald Trump’s domestic agenda.

The current version of the proposal calls for the state and local tax deduction cap to be hiked to $30,000, which a group of blue-state Republicans have said is a nonstarter.
