A delegation of Texas House Democrats had to evacuate their hotel in Illinois Wednesday morning due to a potential bomb threat, according to multiple lawmakers and local police.

Members of the Texas House Democratic Caucus were evacuated from a Chicago-area hotel early Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was reported amid lawmakers' continued out-of-state protest against a Republican-led redistricting plan in the Texas Legislature.

The committee asked the DOJ for files related to its investigation of Jeffrey Epstein. It is also looking to question Bill and Hillary Clinton, among several other former government officials.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott claimed that he had heard that the FBI will search for Texas House Democrats who left the state in protest of proposed new congressional maps.
