Prosecutors for the Manhattan district attorney’s office on Wednesday said they were prepared to put Harvey Weinstein back on trial for a rape charge tied to former aspiring actor Jessica Mann

Harvey Weinstein faces sentencing and another possible retrial in his New York City sex crimes case. The judge and defense say they want a resolution this year.

A jury in June convicted the disgraced movie mogul of sexually assaulting one woman, acquitted him of assaulting another, but could not reach a verdict in a third case. The judge wants another retrial to be held this year.
