As they struggle to move up the American League playoff standings and play without star closer Emmanuel Clase for at least the next month, the Cleveland Guardians could be looking to aggressively sell before the trade deadline.

Clase entered the game with Cleveland ahead 6-1 and threw a first-pitch ball to Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. that was well out of the zone. The Royals scored two runs against Clase that day but lost. The X account Foolish Baseball also flagged that pitch to Witt as seeming suspicious.
