Joliet Public Schools District 86 held its 10th annual Autism Awareness 5K and raised $5,000 for special needs programming.

The DeKalb City Council this week approved a plan to expand Oakwood Cemetery at 611-615 N. First St. in DeKalb Township.

Volunteers are needed this coming week to help place American flags on the graves of veterans at Kankakee cemeteries.
