Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has won the Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel committee praised her as a key unifying figure in the opposition, advocating for free elections and representative government.

Ms. Machado has urged President Trump to help oust Venezuela’s autocrat, Nicolás Maduro, and to back the result of an election that independent monitors say Mr. Maduro stole.
