A class action lawsuit filed Friday asks a federal court to reinstate the legal status of international students caught up in a Trump administration crackdown that has left more than a thousand fearful of deportation.

UCLA confirmed that an international student was detained at the U.S.-Mexico border. A campus rally was quickly organized in her support.

Ten students – two who were currently attending and seven recent graduates — at Kent State University have now lost their visas, which is up from four last week, according to the university. Three UA students – up from two last week – are facing this issue, the university says.
