The FBI arrested four Los Angeles–area members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, stopping a suspected New Year’s Eve plot to place multiple pipe bombs at five or more locations across the city.

The Justice Department says they’ve thwarted a terror plot in California and arrested people who planned to set off bombs in LA on New Year’s Eve. Officials did not provide a motive but said they’re part of a radical faction of a far-left group.
