Evan Ferguson says he is looking forward to scoring goals under Graham Potter again, after reuniting with his former Brighton manager at West Ham. Ferguson has joined the Hammers on a six-month straight loan deal from Brighton. West Ham have no option or obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Part of the reason why Ferguson was rated so highly less than 50 games into his Premier League career was his all-round ability. He is a centre-forward who is comfortable scoring with his right or left and has a catalogue of great headed goals using his tall frame (6ft/183cm).

Evan Ferguson became the fourth-youngest player to score a Premier League hat-trick when he netted a treble for Brighton & Hove Albion against Newcastle United in September 2023, aged 18 years and eleven months, following Liverpool duo Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler and Nottingham Forest’s Chris Bart-Williams.
