CHICAGO -- The Tampa Bay Lightning extended their point streak to 15 games in a 2-1 shootout victory against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Friday. Tampa Bay’s run is its third-longest in franchise history, behind a 16-game streak in 2018-19 and an 18-game stretch in 2003-04.
It has been a bit of deja vu for Blackhawks forward Landon Slaggert. He’s creating ample scoring chances but has struggled to finish. Slaggert said he went through a scoring drought as a junior at Notre Dame (13 points in 35 games), something that has been instructive as he works to improve his finishing.
