Making his Cannes Film Festival Competition debut, Ari Aster unveiled 'Eddington' in Cannes this evening, drawing a nearly seven-minute ovation.

"Eddington," Ari Aster's modern Western starring Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Austin Butler and Pedro Pascal, earned a standing ovation at Cannes.

According to lip reader NJ Hickling, speaking to Daily Mail, at Cannes, Pedro Pascal leaned in and quietly told Joaquin Phoenix, “Argh, don’t do that. You’re affecting the cred. Try and act cool, like you’re about to score, my man.”
