Jets' Aaron Glenn QB update, plus new player signed at position
Both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) are injured. Brady Cook was dinged up last week but is evidently healthy ahead of the Jets (3-10) visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4) in Week 15. It's still unclear who will be part of the Jets' lineup on Sunday in terms of those injured players, but we have an insurance policy.

Jets' Aaron Glenn says he and owner Woody Johnson on same page for building foundation in 2-9 season
The first-year head coach has stressed building a foundation for the franchise, which Johnson has overseen as the owner since 2000. During a 2-9 season that has extended the Jets' playoff drought to an NFL-leading 15 years that includes 10 straight losing records, staying optimistic about the future might be false hope to some.
Hurting their draft position is not on the coaches or players’ minds. The Jets are trying to win every game possible, and in whatever way possible, as they showed on Sunday. They scored 10 points in the last 1:53 and beat the Falcons, 27-24, on Nick Folk’s walk-off 56-yard field goal.
The New York Jets, led by rookie quarterback Brady Cook, face the Jacksonville Jaguars, led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence, on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
Cook will become the 10th different quarterback to start a game for the Jets since the 2022 season began, joining a list that includes Taylor, Fields, Aaron Rodgers, Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco, Chris Streveler, Trevor Siemian and Tim Boyle. He spent his collegiate career at Missouri.
But the players take their cues from the coaches. Aaron Glenn came to the Jets' head coaching position espousing the importance of special teams and has continued through the season to tout his players and his staff, led by first-year coordinator Chris Banjo, who have made those special things happen.
