Volunteers are hoping to find the owners of stuffed animals, photographs and other keepsakes salvaged from the debris.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said search and rescue efforts continue after the deadly floods in Central Texas as crews work to remove debris from roads and bridges. The governor said search parties still include many out-of-state volunteers and dog teams.

For the first time since the deadly July Fourth flooding in the Texas Hill Country, Kerr County has no flood advisories or rain in the forecast, allowing search crews to continue their work looking for the bodies of 97 missing people.

A flood watch will remain in effect in Kerrville and the surrounding area — the epicenter of the July 4 damage that left at least 130 dead — until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
