The Eel River Valley Fire Academy is hosted by multiple local fire departments, with Fortuna being the primary host. The 2018 Academy gets under way on March 1.

Because the 2020 Eel River Valley Fire Academy was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, both last year’s and this year’s Academy participants were included in the Fortuna training burn.
