Danny Jansen homers in First Rays at-bat
The Rays always do their research before acquiring players. They look into everything you’d expect, from a player’s statistics and projections to his background and health. But they also consider the personality and character of anyone they’re going to add to their clubhouse.
Rays starter Zack Littell got most of his planned work in, throwing 34 pitches over two innings. He struck out two while allowing one hit, a homer to Royce Lewis, in his spring debut. Littell was slated to face one batter in the third but was pleased with the work he was able to get in.
