The president-elect is set to arrive in the Washington area on Saturday and begin a series of events that includes a party at Trump National Golf Club and a rally at Capital One Arena.

The festivities will kick off today with a reception and fireworks display at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia

Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President on January 20, 2025, coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The ceremony begins at noon at the US Capitol.

The presidential parade after Trump is sworn in will include about 7,500 participants including first responders, veterans groups and school marching bands. First responders from Butler County, Pennsylvania, where Trump survived an assassination attempt, will be among the groups participating.

South Ocean Boulevard next to the Mar-a-Lago Club has been closed since Nov. 4, when Trump arrived in Palm Beach to vote in the general election.

Other inauguration ceremony performers will include two of the president-elect's musical favorites, country singer Lee Greenwood and opera singer Christopher Macchio.
