A red flag warning due to wildfire danger will be in effect from 10 a.m. Monday to at least 10 p.m. Tuesday for inland valleys and mountain areas throughout the county, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning starting Monday for San Diego County's inland valleys and mountains.

Dry air and gusty winds will continue throughout San Diego County through the middle of next week, followed by cooler and cloudier weather by the end of the week and possible light precipitation by next weekend.

A fire weather warning will be in effect from 4 p.m. Monday until at least 6 p.m. Wednesday for inland valleys and mountain areas, according to the National Weather Service. Coastal San Diego will see mostly sunny weather through the week, with highs in the mid-60s.

The National Weather Service on Wednesday extended the wildfire warning through the end of the week for much of East County.
