Following Sunday's win over the Bills, the Patriots fired head coach Jerod Mayo after just one season in New England.
Mayo is the only firing the Patriots have made, for now. According to multiple reports, the only move the Patriots have made Sunday is to relieve Mayo of his duties as head coach. Currently, no assistant coaches or front office members appear to be affected.
They also lost six games in a row, including last week’s 40-7 debacle before Sunday’s win over the Bills. That’s not a good look for any team, at any level, but especially not in the NFL, where there’s supposed to be a level playing field for all 32 teams.
