Canadian provinces have restricted American alcohol sales as part of retaliatory measures against President Trump’s tariffs.
Robert Fry, an economist based in Delaware, said the United States could go into a recession if President Trump's tariffs on Mexico and Canada continue.
“We cannot allow this scourge to continue to harm the USA, and therefore, until it stops, or is seriously limited, the proposed TARIFFS scheduled to go into effect on MARCH FOURTH will, indeed, go into effect, as scheduled,” he said.
President Trump’s plan to apply 25 percent tariffs on Canadian exports is set to start on Tuesday. They would deal a brutal blow to Canada’s economy.
