The term “predicate” refers to the fact that it’s in the latter part of the sentence and “nominative” is related to the nominative case, which essentially means a subject.

The predicate nominative is the reason people on the phone say “This is she” instead of “This is her.” Normally, after a verb, we use an object pronoun.

There would be no predicate nominative in this case. To treat NOT LISTENING as a predicate nominative would mean YOU = NOT LISTENING, which may have been your intention.
