KCCI 8 News is expanding the most watched coverage of central Iowa with an hourlong newscast, weekdays at 4 p.m. beginning Monday, July 15.

In a segment from the 11 a.m. newscast in October, Terrell Brown was seen having a rough time with a friendly snake. The video went viral.

She acknowledged the newscast was designed specifically to offer more live news and weather information to central Iowa's communities, an hour earlier at 4 p.m.
