Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to activate state emergency response resources ahead of heavy rainfall that is expected in East and Southeast Texas beginning Thursday.

Today is a FOX 26 Storm Alert Day in southeast Texas. Heavy rain will begin to move in midday with the heaviest rain expected later this afternoon into the evening. Models are showing 2 to 4 inches of rain possible in total and the highest amounts will likely be close to the coast.
Some flights from Dallas to Houston canceled due to winter storm in north Texas
From the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport to William P. Hobby Airport, Envoy Air had three canceled flights, SkyWest had two canceled flights and PSA Airlines had one canceled flight, according to FlightAware. Six Southwest flights from Dallas Love Field to Hobby were also canceled, according to FlightAware.
