An hours-long standoff ended Wednesday after police said Lamon P Moore Jr., 36, died by suicide. Moore walked out of the CJC while a jury was deliberating a gun case against him.

A sheriff's department spokesperson said the man was awaiting a verdict in his jury trial and didn't return to the courtroom Wednesday.
