Mumbai Police have arrested Vijay Das, also known as Bijoy Das and Mohammed Iliyas, for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence. Das was apprehended on a train in Chhattisgarh following a manhunt.

A part of the knife, allegedly used in the stabbing attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, has been recovered from his Bandra residence, the Mumbai Police said on Saturday. The attack, which took place earlier this week, left the actor with serious injuries.

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was out of danger, police said on Thursday, following stab injuries received in a scuffle with an intruder at his home in India’s financial capital of Mumbai for which he was undergoing surgery.
