Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is back in the running for the Jaguars' coaching job, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday afternoon. Coen, 39, is a day removed from apparently agreeing to remain with the Buccaneers on a lucrative new contract. After that news became public, Jacksonville canned general manager Trent Baalke.

As the coaching carousel spun, multiple candidates were cool to the idea of joining forces with Jaguars G.M. Trent Baalke. And while that was confirmed, implicitly, by the belated firing of Baalke, it comes after candidates who might have been interested in the job (like Ben Johnson and Liam Coen) went in different directions.
