The forecast discussion said that there is to be around an inch of snow across coastal Connecticut and less than an inch for the landlocked portion of southern Connecticut. Norwich is expected to recieve less than an inch of snow.

A winter storm warning is in effect for all of Connecticut for the snowstorm. The heaviest fell overnight between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., with lighter snow continuing into early Sunday morning. We could see some mixing along the shoreline in the early morning hours.

A mixed precipitation storm led to hundreds of school closings across Connecticut on Thursday. The snow began falling in the morning hours and was expected to leave as many as four inches of accumulation in most parts of Connecticut before changing over to a wintry mix by the early afternoon hours,

As one winter storm bringing snow and ice moves out of the New York City area, another is set to impact parts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut next week.
