Microsoft has officially announced the Visual Studio 2022 is getting its first public preview this summer, and that it will bring some big news including switching to a 64-bit architecture.

Microsoft is finally releasing a 64-bit version of Visual Studio, but you have to rebuild your VSIX extensions for the new IDE.

As with previous versions of Visual Studio, 2015 includes improved collaborative development capabilities, especially when used in conjunction with Team Foundation Server.
