The UK National Archives found a fascinating treasure just in time for America's 250th birthday: a previously-unknown copy of the Declaration of Independence.
“Every copy of the Declaration that we have today is evidence of someone thinking ahead and preserving it," Emily Sneff said.
A rare copy of the US Declaration of Independence lay in UK government records for nearly 250 years until a volunteer archivist spotted it in May this year, the body in charge of British official records has said.
“A vote for the SNP is a vote for a referendum on independence. Based on the 2011 precedent, an SNP majority at this election is a mandate for the transfer of powers to the Scottish parliament to enable an independence referendum to be held.”
A rare 19th-century copy of the Declaration of Independence and striking American flag sculptures made from reclaimed U.S. materials are on display at the George W. Bush Presidential Center this Fourth of July weekend.
