Severe thunderstorms, flooding rainfall, damaging winds, wildfires, record temperatures and snow are all possible across the United States.

The forecast comes days after an expansive storm similarly trekked across the U.S. last week, unloading snow in the northern Plains and bringing tornadoes and wildfires to the South. At least five storm-related deaths in Nebraska and Mississippi were tied to that storm.

The storm is expected to arrive Wednesday and dump 1 to 2 inches of rain along the coast and up to 4 inches in the valleys at rates that could cause problems.

Los Angeles County was placed under a winter storm warning by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 12:32 p.m. The warning is valid from Wednesday 4 p.m. until Saturday, Mar. 15 at 5 a.m.

On Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm warning valid from Wednesday 4 p.m. until Saturday, Mar. 15 at 5 a.m. for San Bernardino County Mountains.
