Nasa astronauts aboard the Artemis II spacecraft have blasted off for the Moon on the furthest journey from Earth attempted by humans. The Space Launch System (SLS) launched at 6.35pm local time (11.35pm UK time) on Wednesday night as its main engine and rocket boosters ignited, sending it into orbit.
