The last thing anyone wants is to find that their car key has become stuck in the ignition cylinder. Here is what you can do to safely remove them.

Remove the key and check the ignition switch for proper operation through its detents and that it springs back from the “start” position.

Jarring effects from the road or a key ring carrying too much weight could cause the ignition switch to move out of the Run position, turning off the engine and most of the electrical components.
