Creating customized gamerpics and profile pictures is easy on both consoles but the end result is much more satisfying on an Xbox One.

Custom gamerpics finally make a comeback, allowing you to set a custom image from your Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, or mobile device.

Previously, you were limited to an avatar or game-related snapshot. Now, from your console, Windows 10 PC, or mobile phone, you will soon be able to update your gamerpic with a custom image.

This follows up on custom gamerpics making their way to the Xbox Beta app for Windows 10 in mid-April. As we saw with the initial rollout, getting started is fairly simple.

The feature, which Microsoft refers to as custom Gamerpics, supports uploading an image from an Xbox One, Windows 10 PC or smartphone.

A new Xbox One update is rolling out later today, delivering custom gamerpics, Mixer co-streaming and more all Xbox One consoles.
