British Airways recently retired its fleet of 747s, giving us a chance to see how its floppy-based software update system works. It's a real blast from the past.

The existing system, installed in 1998 in the Market Street subway, still runs on software stored on five-and-a-quarter inch floppy disks, which must be loaded every morning.
