While you can launch games not purchased from Steam in its desktop app, games from the Microsoft Store or PC Game Pass need a little help to work.
So you just got a Steam Deck, and you’ve probably even played a few games. But did you know that your Steam Deck is a fully fledged Linux PC? Here are some apps you should install in Desktop mode.
These are the best programs and games to add as Non-Steam shortcuts to your Steam Deck.
Download Genshin Impact and install it through the Heroic Games Launcher. Force Proton Experimental in the Steam Deck settings. Add Genshin Impact to the Game tab in Heroic Games Launcher and play.

Since Diablo 4 is a non-steam game, click on “Add a non-steam game” Scroll down to find Lutris, click on it, and click on selected programs.
The Steam Deck is built for Steam, naturally, but I've been using my handheld to play my non-Steam games more and more.
You can also add the WoW Classic executable as a non-steam game for ease of access, following the same guide to find its root folder. But this may prevent Battle.net from updating correctly.
If Steam then asks you to "add a non-Steam game," choose Browse, then select the Battle.net installer Open Steam while still in Desktop Mode. You should see Battle.net in the Library page.
