OneNote provides a way to convert handwritten notes to text via the Lasso Select tool (Draw tab) to access Ink to Text.
Now, double-click and drag the cursor around the handwriting that you want to convert. Click Ink to Text in the Draw tab. OneNote will then convert your handwriting to typed text.

Is there any way to get OneNote to OCR my handwriting without using a tablet computer? I have a T43, and I've been scanning/taking pictures of my handwriting to see if the OneNote OCR can process it.
Using Microsoft's handwriting recognition plug-in for tablets, OneNote was even able to index what we wrote.
