MSD recently improved its spark-plug wire ends to include a different type of crimp process that is far better than the old way but requires a special crimping tool.

MSD's wire stripper tool can also be used to crimp the wires, but we used MSD's Pro-Crimp tool (P/N 35051). Its jaws accommodate both the main and secondary crimp sizes for the terminal.

Determine the proper length for each wire and type of distributor in your engine, then install the proper wire ends with a crimping tool.

Crimping connectors onto wires requires the right tool, and the most important for this task is – surprise – the crimping pliers.
