A handful of central Ohio college-bound lacrosse players continue to help their football teams make deep runs in the OHSAA playoffs.

Joe Labas threw two touchdown passes, Central Michigan scored two defensive touchdowns, and the Chippewas became bowl eligible for the first time in four years, defeating Buffalo 38-19

Central Washington (10-1, 9-0 Lone Star), which received the Lone Star’s automatic NCAA Division II playoff berth, began its winning drive with 1:47 left at the CWU 20. The drive included a first down conversion on fourth-and-10 — McGill to Brady for 15 yards — and McGill gained another first down on a fourth-and-3 run.
