SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Sprint cars will race on a dirt track inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time ever this week. Drivers are scheduled to hit IMS’ quarter-mile dirt track on Thursday.
The BAPS Motor Speedway will wrap up the local sprint car season this Saturday afternoon with the Sprint Showdown. This event has marked the end of the season in the local area since it began in 2010.
