Forgive the poor pun and reference, but it sure smells like The Rock might make his way back to WWE programming soon.

A new update has come in about The Rock’s return ahead of WWE SummerSlam. The Final Boss hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since Elimination Chamber, where he gave the signal to John Cena to attack Cody Rhodes.

WWE has never offered a satisfactory explanation for how he managed to coax John Cena into a heel turn back at Elimination Chamber Toronto in March. When that blockbuster moment happened, most fans would've been forgiven for thinking they were in for a rollercoaster ride manned by the twin powers of Rock and Cena.
