A judge is allowing the estate of Michael Crichton — the late creator of hit television series "ER" — to pursue its lawsuit against Max's new medical drama "The Pitt."

Perhaps you know Michael Crichton as the man behind the Jurassic Park novels that spawned the iconic film series, but the accomplished writer and filmmaker was also the mastermind behind ER, one of the most renowned medical dramas to ever grace our screens.

A court has denied Warner Bros.' anti-SLAPP motion to dismiss the case between WBD and the Michael Crichton estate over "The Pitt." Because of this ruling, the lawsuit will be allowed to move through discovery and to trial.

The service will make its long-awaited debut down under on March 31, with the second season of HBO's post-apocalyptic series 'The Last of Us' serving as an early tentpole title when it releases in April.
